Southwestern Industries, Inc., operating as TRAK Machine Tools, has established itself as a dominant force in the industry since its founding in 1951. Southwestern Industries was founded by Dr. Fred Jenks, an engineer who worked at Lockheed, in Southern California. The company has since grown from a small job shop into a major player in the machining industry.
