Progressive Machining Cell (MV-19 & MV-20)
Cell contains 2 Fanuc Alpha-D21MiA5 RoboDrills , 1 Fanuc M10iA/10M robot (F167515), 2 Royal FX900 mist collectors, 2 ChipBlaster D30-70 High Pressure Units, PLC, HMI, parts rack, and flip station.
Raw Stock is loaded by an operator on the infeed gravity conveyors outside of the cell.
The raw stock is picked up by the robot inside the cell, 2 pieces at a time.
Parts are measured for acceptable length and loaded in to machine 1 (MV-19) to machine op10.
Once op10 is completed, parts are removed from machine 1 (MV-19) by the robot and another set of raw stock is loaded by the robot.
The robot sets the op10 parts in the flip station by the robot.
Flip station rotates the parts over so the robot can pick up from the opposite side.
Robot picks up op10 parts from flip station and loads in machine 2 (MV-20) to finish machining.
Once parts are finished in machine 2 (MV-20) they are unloaded by the robot and the next set of op10 parts is loaded.
The finished parts are then set on the finished parts gravity conveyor by the robot.
The parts slide down the conveyor out of the cell for the operator to inspect and unload.
